Our family has welcomed friends and guests since 1975, earning us the title “A Tradition in Traverse City”. Great steaks, fresh seafood and meaty BBQ ribs are skillfully prepared. Our homemade sauces and dressings are a blend of the finest herbs and the best ingredients to compliment every meal. We have won many awards over the years for our steaks and prime rib; Detroit News has voted us best restaurant in Michigan.

RecommendedThe prime runs medium rare and cuts like butter. The blue cheese wedge salad is simple and perfect. I love the decor specifically BECAUSE it’s not hip/trendy; it’s a reminder of fond times. And the staff is the best: friendly, conversational, and attentive. EAT HERE!!!
I have always liked Modes and have been there many times . We went there tonight and had a very unfriendly waitress . My wife found a long blonde hair in her dinner and the dinner was replaced , but no real apology. We won’t be back .

Being ignored by the hostess, waiting over 1.5 hours for a table (we were told 45 minute wait), 2 four tops given away while we waited that could have been put together for our party and finally being ignored by your server because she is catering to the locals (who have been there for hours) .... never dine her if you aren’t a ‘local’ or ‘know someone’. Food was mediocre at best. Clearly this venue doesn’t care about their reputation or treating all customers equally well.
Not if you have a bigger party, been here waiting for an hour and a half to just get seated!!! There is only eight of us...come on
