I finally decided to undergo LASIK after 26 years of wearing glasses. I've never been able to wear contacts and glasses have always been a hassle for me being a very active person. I was naturally nervous because anything involving eyes worried me. However, the staff at MEI did a wonderful job preparing me for what to expect during surgery and both my surgical day and post-op experiences have been wonderful. Bruce met us at the door and ran through the typical Covid protocol but went a step further and asked if we had taken any fever reducing medication, something that no one else has asked and impressed me. Cheyenne took us back and checked the Rx on previous glasses and did the pressure testing, color blindness test, and initial exam. We then went back for a more in depth exam with Dr. Donnellon. Another great experience at Michigan Eye Institute! I went for a follow up appointment with Dr. Diskin. He once again was very friendly, informative and reassuring. The other staff I encountered were friendly and thorough as well. I definitely recommend this place!
