Dr. Miao has the best bedside manner, he is always prompt, courteous, patient and thorough. Hands-down, he is an excellent physician. I highly recommend Dr. Miao and DOC to anyone in need of orthopaedic care. The office, exam rooms and imaging areas are impeccably clean and the staff members are all very kind. Also, when I really needed it, I was able to schedule an emergency appointment less than 24 hours in advance.
This was my first visit with Dr Miao. Went well since I do not remember hurting myself but I have pain. We took X-rays of my shoulder which look good. So he had me do many movements trying to figure out what might be the problem. Found a few things. Ordered an MRI to check the RC and ordered PT. All in all was a good visit
Dr Miao, is short tempered and does not care about what the patient wants to ask him. This guy is only after the money. SO we will always ask you to get an MRI or Xray just so he can get a cut of that. I would not recommend this guy as a doctor. please stay away...
Dr. Miao has very little respect for his patient's time. Wait times in the waiting room and then the exam room are absolutely insane. My first appointment was 2.5 hours total with 10-15 minutes of actual time with Miao. The second appointment was 2-hours + in length with 10-15 minutes with the doctor. On my third visit, I walked out after not being seen after nearly an hour in the exam room. Clearly he is overbooking patients to maximize revenue. He clearly has a lack of respect for other's time
Dr. Miao was very thorough in explaining everything including my MRI results. He showed me exactly what he was looking at and how it effected my knee. He gave me options and suggested taking the least evasive route to start. I really appreciated that.
At my first visit with Dr. Miao, he took an x-ray of my knee, not an MRI. Hence, soft tissue damage didn't show. Later, my internist ordered an MRI and it showed worn cartilage. Dr. Miao left me in pain with no recommendations to ease it. During the appointment, he seemed short tempered, even rude. I will go to another orthopedic surgeon with more compassion.
Dr Miao is a shoulder specialist very clear on his assessment of my condition and practical on what needs to be done.
Dr. Miao was super professional with me he dedicated all the time necessary to answer all my questions and make me full aware of all the pros and cons to my situation. He was straightforward and was never rushed or made me feel on comfortable or worried. I highly recommend him for any Surgical needs.
