This was my second shoulder surgery. The first was by another surgeon. Dr. Miao took the time explaining my shoulder issue and what procedures he was going to perform during surgery. Also, he educated me about how to return to good shoulder health. This was very important to me because I am a fire fighter and still enjoy surfing when I can. Both of these require strength, flexibility and endurance.

I went to Dr. Miao for a second opinion after being told physical therapy wouldn’t help and my only option was surgery. Dr. Miao found something on my MRI the other doctor didn’t see and recommended physical therapy. He has already helped decrease my pain. Dr. Miao is compassionate, friendly and very knowledgeable. He took the time to listen to me and made me feel comfortable with the action plan. I had an appointment at 8:30 and was out of the office with my treatment plan by 9:10.

Dr. Miao is a fantastic surgeon. I have been an athlete all my life and have been to several Orthopedics. I would rate him as the top knee man I’ve had. I trust him for myself and my family.
