I organised a Golden Anniversary meal for my parents at the Merkister and they could not have been more helpful and accommodating. On the evening we were welcomed to a beautifully decorated table with confetti, a card and a gorgeous bunch of flowers! I had also dropped off some little sweetie favours earlier, and these had been added to each place. My mum and dad were delighted! We stayed 3 nights at this very comfortable and friendly hotel The dining room and several of the bedrooms have grand views of the loch and Hoy in the distance. The food is excellent and very well cooked with a steadily changing choice. The seafood starred. So we have much to recommend and good reason to return.
Situated on the shores of Loch Harray, views are stunning. Food is top notch. Friendly and helpful staff. Dog friendly areas. Highly recommended.
