Dr Boan, Norma and staff were all so amazing today when we took our 6 year old daughter to Meritus. They were so gentle and caring as to what she had to go through and how she was feeling. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. She is feeling much better tonight.
This hospital is the worst place i have ever been in nothing but drug addicts getting seen before children and elderly people...this place should be shut down for lack of care to the people who actually need it
We brought my 2 year old grandson in for an allergic reaction to an unknown allergen. We were there for close to two hours and still didn't even get back to a room. Allergic reactions in toddlers can be tricky and it is important to assess the airway routinely, which wasn't even done in triage. Having been an EMT, I find the lack of care appalling.
The wait sucked, but the staff were courteous and professional.
They put the child psychology unit and the drunk tank/drug is unit together! Great way to help in the healing of our troubled youth Meritus Medical!!!
This hospital sucks so bad. Nurses talking about patient to other patients. The case care managers are ignorant and disrespectful to patients. I will never go back. I will travel out of town for better medical care. This place should still be a farming field for all the good it does anybody who needs help. I watched a guy flatline in the waiting room eyes wide open and security plucked him up and tossed him in a wheelchair. People screaming for help and the desk nurses just stood there. I was there on the 4th of July and all of what I am hearing and reading wasn't true in my case. Everyone was respectful and very kind, I do know of people who have also had bad experiences with this ER but please don't judge all of the staff because of the others and as for cleanliness complain about it to housekeeping so they can get rid of whoever is not doing their job.
