In response to Stephanie's post 2 months ago regarding Kerrastaight treatment. I have been a client of Kath's for the past 15 years. I was her first client to receive kerrastaight and it has changed my life. I am well aware of the process and can categorically confirm that a blow dry is carried out prior to the straightening process in Meraki. I booked a KeraStraight treatment with Meraki after watching their social media videos showing clients with curly hair being made straight. I discussed with them and was told the treatment would be "perfect" for my hair type. Several days after the treatment I washed my hair and it was back to being curly and frizzy. I messaged the business and was told that the treatment was designed to only gently smooth the hair and that I would still be required to blow dry and straighten it after every wash. Meraki offers a unique, holistic hair care experience that feels more like a wellness retreat than a typical salon visit. As someone who is extremely allergic to PPD (chemical in normal dye) the products at Meraki being organic, non-toxic products, that are PPD free ensures that I am finally able to get my hair dyed again!
