My 84 year old Father was told by his PCP at the VA to come in to the ER ASAP for problems he was having and he would be a priority to be seen. Well we arrived at 1400 on the 4th of Jan and it is now 0105 on the 5th and have still not been seen. Worst experience ever here!!!
First, they won't / don't answer the telephone to confirm or make an appointment . Then you get there and you have to wait well past the appointment time. The Memphis VA is , I'm sure the worse Veterans Hospital ever. A damn shame to treat people that way. Let alone a service man/ veteran.
This place needs to be closed down. The health care and professionalism do not exist.
I took my brother to the ICU this past Thursday and let me tell you this the VA staff was great they did a great job and the VA was very clean I cant tell you how much they did for saving my brothers life. The VA personal from the emergency room staff and the 2 nd floor ICU staff was great. Thank you so much J. HAGMAIER
The appointment was toooooo long. It took me threatening to call the news to get the appointment. I called for almost a month trying to get one!!!!! They don't answer the phones either. They need to get better!!!!!!! Soon
The Memphis VA is not as bad as the Commercial Appeal makes it out to be, The doctors & nurses I have seen are terrific. My care has been top notch!
