If you are a Veteran...You DO NOT HAVE TO GO TO THE VA!!! PRIME EXAMPLE..... DAMN NEAR 5 HOURS AND HE'S STILL WAITING TO BE SEEN. DID I MENTION HE WAS BROUGHT BY AMBULANCE AND THE NURSE DIRECTED MFD TO TAKE HIM TO THE WAITING AREA. AT 10:15PM IT WAS 4 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF HIM.... WE GOT HERE AT 7:45....... AT 12:26A.M. THERE ARE 5 PEOPLE IN FRONT OF HIM. YOU BEST BELIEVE LATER RHIS MORNING I'M CALLING THE MEDIA AND THE HEAD OF THE BUL_$__T FACILITY. �����
I HAVE CALLED AT TIMES TO VARIOUS CLINICS IT USUALLY TAKES A WEEK OR SO TO GET THOUGH. I WAS TOLD BY A NURSE IF I FELT I COULD GET BETTER CARE GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. PARKING IS A NIGHTMARE. I DO NOT LIKE MY DR SHE PATRONIZES ME. AN OUTSIDE DR SAYS I HAVE PTSD BUT SEVERAL DRS AT VA DO NOT ACKNOWLEDGE IT. MY EYE IS RUINED DUE TO BAD SURGERIES THERE. AND I HAVE DO NOT LIKE THE LANGUAGE THEY USE ON MY MEDICAL RECORDS. UPDATE STILL DO NOT LIKE MEMPHIS VA. EVERYTIME I GO I GET MORE STRESS AND ANZIETY
The parking lot is inexcusable! Very seldom does a trolley service operate; and when it does, it's never on a rainy day!? The parking lot is never enforced to keep qualified handycape spaces policed. The new VA directors staff have found Memphis VA one of the worst that operates in the whole system! I have been a patient there since 1995, and find that once I get to the level of the Drs office, the culture completely changes from sarcastic, to one of cogenyality.
