Short and Sweet, the VA saved my life. The doctor's and staff were awesome.
I have delt with Detroit and Ann Arbor VA which I thought was bad until dealing with Memphis VA have been diagnosed with chronic pain that I will have to deal with for the rest of my life Asked for pain management in December still haven't received any and pain medication cut again my doctor blames Memphis and Memphis blames the doctor kind of frustrating when you get the runaround and nobody seems to care ���
I haven't had any issues to this point. No where is perfect. I expect the unexpected.
I would have given a 5 star as I have in the past been very please with my interaction with the Memphis V.A. Hosp. But 3 days ago I was in the orthopedics clinic, my usual visit location, and was informed that Campbell's Clinic is being pulled from Ortho Clinic. Who is replacing them, what are we going to do now? They Choice programed me to a closer surgeon but the Choice program is only temporary. What then?

The Memphis VAMC is horrible. I find it hard to believe that they somehow averaged 3.5 stars. Every experience I have had to endure is pathetic. The favorite words of a VA employee is let me transfer you to this extension or that extension. The VA is in no-way interested in patient care. The VA union is the reason why dead Veteran's bodies are allowed to lay in shower stalls for 8 plus hours. I could go on and on. Sad
Every time I've had anything done at VA Hospital, it's been done with professionalism and speed. I normally receive great service (every time).
While there are many trials with the VA... The way my dad with ALS has been treated is phenomenal!
