We had a wonderful experience! We had the best nurses on 2S.. our nurses, Mary, and Ms Williams and all the doctors and their teams were so patient and kind.The whole staff was caring, helpful and kept us informed about all the test that were run. Thank you for all for taking such good care of my Dad!
Our appt was @ 730 for labs they say be there 30 min early. So we were just to find out Lab had no orders. Our doctor appt was @ 930 we waited til 1030 finally seen doctor. I understand construction however to the patients it's very important it's finished..The conditions one must endure while trying to get to your appt is appalling. Not only for the elderly but those in wheelchairs and also whom suffer with mental disabilities. Drove 35 mins to sit for 30 min to have an appointment that lasted 20 minutes...it was a mental health...smh
It's a blessing to be rewarded for serving my country. I realize the VA system is really overwhelmed, and you need patient to deal with it. But the time it takes to is a little out of hand. After being put in a room, blood drawn, and chest xray it took 5 hours to find out the results of that to see that they needed a CT scan. Then it to 2 1/2 hours to get the results to find out they didn't find nothing. So for some reason it takes to long to get things done. But I'm thankful for VA system.
I have been going to the VA medical center in Memphis for the last 20 years and the only complaint I have is the Parking sometimes it might take 30 minutes just to find a parking place. As far as the Drs. I think I have some of the best Drs. In the world, if it wasn't for Dr. Waters I probably won't be here writing this he is a really good Dr.and a really good person. I've taken my brother in law there 3 times over the last 8 yrs. Never had a bad experience like some of the reviews mentioned. Everyone was polite and helpful. We didn't need the ER so I can't complain about that.
