I went to VA ER today for a problem today and was given excellent care. From the nurse to the resident ER doctor. Also had X-ray and Vascular clinic involved. Service was top notch and courtesy was outstanding. Semper Fi VA,
Bravo Zulu to Erica in the Sleep clinic. I called because while on holiday my mask was damaged and she was willing and able to find a replacement item quickly and allowed me to pick it up directly. Great service.
Poor poor service
They let my dad get dehydration. He told them he was not drinking anything so when he was released he passed out. So back to the hospital. Serve dehydration. Poor poor.
Just all around bad people no care for vets
As a military retiree using TRICARE I can tell you my primary care experience at the Memphis VA is much better than what I experienced out in the community. I also had open heart surgery (mitral valve repair) at the Memphis VA and my care was outstanding. Out in the community they would have placed a mechanical valve which would have placed me on blood thinners the rest of my life. At the Memphis VA they repaired the mitral valve. My significant other has been curled in a ball all day outside. He tried to check himself into the Psychiatric Ward as told to by the National hotline counselor. He has TBI/PTSD with addiction as a result. Dr. Wilson refused to refill his medication to block alcohol and refused to admit him on 5/4/18. He sent him home with gabapentin. We have dealt with the hotline all day trying to explain that Memphis constantly turns him away. I have posted a pic of my significant other on FB.
