We have always received the most amazing care at CHI Memorial. All staff have been helpful, friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and so caring. We wouldn't go anywhere else!
My mom was sent to Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery and was left in a wheelchair with infection on her spine and nerve damage in her leg for an hour and a half they gave us the runaround about waiting to talk to a doctor when the whole time they did not have a room for her no one would tell us the truth they just left her screaming in a wheelchair for an hour and a half. Horrible gave me a medication I pulled up said discontinued due to side effects
The ER was not that busy and yet it took 5 hours before my mother-in-law was seen by a doctor. This used to be a good place, but has really gone down hill. Once in a room, it took another 3 hours before the orders that the doctor wrote were actually carried out. They started administering the meds just as they began moving her to a room. Very shoddy care
My husband was just in the oncology unit over the weekend. We were scared. The nurses were wonderful - Jesdica, Daniel, Hannah, and I'm sorry I can't remember the charge nurse name on Friday, but care was phenomenal. A new cancer diagnosis and everything was explained. I've been a critical care nurse for 40 years, but I don't know oncology. Everyone, including the housekeeper, would always ask, What else do you need,' before leaving the room. I now do this at home. God bless you all andthank- you for caring for my husband.
