I love Mel's Hot Dogs!! A truer Tampa institution!! And even better I ordered a veggie Chicago dog!!! Thank you so much for making my meal guilt free!!
Heard about this place from Dave and Veronica in the morning, happy I did, there are very few places to get good chicago style here in tampa and this is one of them.
The first 2 might mel's were so nasty I had to try a third! Lol
I stopped in for lunch and had an Italian beef with hot giardianara. The sandwich was fantastic and the bun was perfect. It put Portillo's beef sandwich to shame. No doubt about it. Thanks.
I Love Love Love this place! Might be a little pricy but worth it! I completely recommend the Mel's special basket. I've been eating here for 23 years. I was just there yesterday with my daughter. The employees have always been very courteous and they do a great job. To avoid long waits...don't go during their lunch rush lol You can always call in your order as well. Thanks Mel for all the great dogs.
Very poor value in my opinion but the food and quality is very good just for the sub par atmosphere and lousy dining facilities the prices are a bit high, having said that food and service is usually very good and is definitely worth a try regardless
Amazing food all the way around!!! Italian beef was one of the best I have ever tasted!
Our family loves going to Mel's. My husband and I have been going there since we were kids. It's delicious and the only place I will eat a hotdog. Now our kids want to go all the time, especially my son Michael. He loves going and seeing Mel and all the girls that work there! Thanks Mel and Virginia for great food and good memories.
Good food, but for some reason every time we come here, the cashier forgets to put our order in.
