Don't go with a short pocket but the food is always great! Been there a buncha times It's worth the money, which is more than I can say about tons of restaurants.. just go there!

Mel's is the best place in the bay area for excellent hot dog! They have been for more than 40 years! The staff is friendly, the restaurant is clean, the food servings generous and excellent!
I have been going to Mel's since 1980. The best I have ever had. I drive all the way from New Port Richey just to eat there.
Wasn't impressed with the food and they gave us a small ass hotdogs for 5 bucks n then not that many toppings n they where boiled n not grilled or wasn't even giving a choice n on top of No sweet onions. They didn't know it was. �����and after we ate we like nah. This was one time life experience n never doing it again..
Friendly people, quick service, and excellent food. Love coming here.
