I think it's wonderful the word is getting out about melanoma cancer. I had no idea how bad it was until I was diagnosed with stage 2 melanoma. Thank the Lord it was caught early enough by my gynecologist. And only had to have surgery.
Did you know you can have metastatic melanoma stage 4 with no primary skin sight? My mother lived only 47 days after diagnosis. Her only symptom was a swollen lymph node in her throat. She was at MD Anderson. She went to the dermatologist every 6 months since 1989 and was diligent about sun protection. What is being done for patients like her?
