My husband was diagnosed with Leukemia on thanksgiving, he was transported to Medical City on January 8th. He is currently still there. Mostly like for another week or 2. The nursing staff in S. Tower building A 12th floor is absolutely amazing. They make sure you understand every thing that is going on. I've had a few melt downs in the hallway by the nurses station. The hospital staffs are not so nice, specifically the nurse named Barbara (Emergency Ward). She is absolutely arrogant and her behavior is very rude. She even insulted us and our profession when we asked how much time it would take for a CT scan. Even the ER patient we accompanied was not provided food as directed by her and when asked she forcefully said patient is not allowed to have food though we checked with the doctor and he allowed that. My 89 year old grandfather was admitted to the ICU last week. He ended up passing away on Wednesday. While the final result isn't what we had hoped for, the care he received and the staff were excellent. Dr. Lupton was the first doctor caring for him and then when things moved from bad to worse, Dr. Limerick provided care. They both treated my grandfather with kindness and dignity and were compassionate to my family.
