I came to Blake yesterday, June 29 for a right hip replacement with Doctor Alan Valadie as my surgeon. From the time I arrived at Blake at 5:30 am, I was treated like a queen. Starting with the receptionist that took all my info to the pre op nurse, Connie. All the nurses in the operating room were absolutely awesome as well as the anesthesiologists. I had never had a spinal nor any kind of surgery before. They told me exactly how everything was going to go with doing the spinal and the surgery itself. The nurses in the reco... read more

ORTHO FLOOR - has amazing true compassionate nurses they made my 2 week stay amazing !!! They all make regional stand out to me as the best one in town , their dedication to their patients went above and beyond ! They don’t treat you like a patient to them your a friend almost a family member and during this pandemic where no visitors were allowed they made sure to make extra rounds to fill the visitor slot ! Thanks again ORTHO !

Business response:

Thank you for your kind comments, Karen! We appreciate the opportunity to care for you, and we wish you a speedy recovery.

Outpatient Surgery center presented an IPad with over 24 questions, statements in SMALL print to read, sign, initial. This could have been done via email a fews before procedure to give patient time to READ all this information, review the statements in their own comfortable online reading environment. Totally cumbersome, and UNREADABLE.. SUGGEST: reduce to minimal permission signatures required - 1 or2.at time of arrival, only. I counted 10(ten) staff who visited the patient asking same questions, reviewing same information.... read more

I think it is pretty crappy that you would have a whole floor with no AC. Tower A floor 5 has no air at all. Here you have patient you keep putting on the floor after surgery with no air. You should be ashamed of yourself!!

Their fees are way overpriced. My husband's ER fees were over $20,000 for three hours. He didn't get surgery but I guess a kidney stone is an automatic money maker here because the $16,000 fee for a CT scan and nearly $5,000 just to walk down the hall and sit on the bed for three hours was the price we paid for a stone he was told to go home and pass. Their fees are price gauging and their excuse is that they are a full service hospital that has to have doctors and equipment in case you need them so they charge enormous fees... read more

Staff did a great job getting me in quickly and getting my face sewn up. Everyone was nice, efficient, and excellent at their jobs. Tele-registration worked great!
