They took amazing care of my toddler for a dental procedure!
April 2017 my son was hospitalized and his full medical bill totaled to just under $19k. Praise God the nurses and doctors were wonderful and my son is ok. However, the billing department has been an ABSOLUTE NIGHTMARE and continues to be over 2.5 years later. From the beginning I have been billed the bill in it’s entirety despite me having insurance and a EOB showing I owe 1/8 of the total bill. They have a great team of doctors, nurses, caregivers, social workers as well as security staff on duty round the clock which we are sooo grateful for.
My daughter was misdiagnosed in June 2019. They said she had conversion disorder. That it was all in her head. But guess what, 3 months later, she had to be put on a vent due to respiratory distress. Her little diaphragm stopped working. She could not swallow. We were rushed to Oschner LSU in Shreveport, La. She was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Thank you for taking such great care of my 10 month old who was suffering with croup & rsv! We were admitted for 3 nights and had the best care!!! I’m one grateful momma
It’s impossible to get billing disputes resolved at this facility. It goes in a black hole of nothingness. My son went to the ER and they are trying to charge 2 admitting fees for this single visit! That’s around $1,000 for EACH FEE! And there is nobody to talk to beyond the initial billing number which sends you into a review process that seems to resolve absolutely nothing.
Last night I had to take my daughter here for her pneumonia. The place was packed but it was handled very quickly. Our Nurse Julie was excellent and put a smile on my daughters face with a llama. Thank you for the great care and quick care.
Today was the worst experienced I have ever had, waited over 4 hours for a head trauma for a two year old and said since he didn’t pass out after taking a big fall we got put back on the back burner while flu patients kept going in front, This is now the second bad experience here and sad to see this place going downhill.
