Dr. Nishihara is awful How in the world is Dr. Nishihara allowed to get away with treating patients so badly? I can write 3 pages about our absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Nishihara, but I rather spend that time writing a complaint to the Medical Board. Dr. Nishihara is not only rude and obnoxious, in my opinion he is dangerous as he completely ignores what the parents and the children have to say and once he has his mind set on a diagnostics, he proceeds with disregard to the facts. In our case, his diagnostic was w... read more
Nishihara is amazing! Dr. Nishihara is strict, but it is because he actually cares about his patients and follows AAP guidelines. I can see how some parents would be put off by him, but he has the children's best interests at heart, and that is hard for some belligerent parents to understand. We should all be so lucky to find doctors who actually enforce AAP guidelines like he does. I drive my son 6 hours to see him, since we moved out of state. That is how phenomenal he is.
A very picky person This is hand-down the very best pediatrician in Las Vegas. No waiting room jammed full of people, no waiting for your appointment, no being rushed through your visit by an overwhelmed staff, and no uncaring staff. Instead, you get a real doctor interacting with you and your child. I feel blessed to have found this office. If only I could find a similar doctor for myself...
Well worth it. By reading the reviews you either love him or hate him. We are in the love him category. He is direct and matter of fact, I am sure some people cant handle this. We met him when we moved here and I was pregnant with my 2nd child. He was amazing from the start in the hospital. He remembers everything, he knows your kids by name, he is very organized and very caring even seeing my daughter for a bad dream that she thought she was dying, he treated her like it was very real. He cares for all 4 of my kids now and ... read more
Stop the whining Dr. Nishihara is phenomenal! I am so tired of all the whining. If you truly want a doctor that cares about the well-being of your child then Dr. Nishihara is the one for you. If a family has been dropped or can't handle his honesty Dr. Nishihara then I would question their abilities as a parent.
The Doctor And Staff Are Very Unfriendly And Rude!! :( Doctor and staff cancelled me as a client for questioning why my 3 year old son should wait 5 months for updated shots when I was physically in the office having my son's fractured collar bone looked at, and the shots take only 5 minutes from his assistant. They explained I was on a "sick" visit and shots are done on a "well" visit. I explained this was needed for preschool admittance and I would have to go elsewhere to have the shots done timely. The staff was rude and ... read more
Think Twice About This Doctor and Move On I also had trouble with this doctor and have read a lot of the reviews posted. Even people who like Dr. Nishihara admit that he is arrogant, but someone even went so far as to say that he is just "saying it like it is" and that if you can't deal with the truth, you aren't good enough for this doctor. Others are charmed by the fact that you don't have to wait in his office. Well, here is some "saying it like it is" from a patient's mother. I can handle arrogance in a doctor but not wh... read more
Horrific Experience We took our daughter for ADHD evaluation with Dr. Nishihara and there are no words to describe how horribly rude he was to us. He treated us disrespectfully and was very upset when we asked a simple question. He made my 9 year daughter feel so uncomfortable, that she bagged us to never take her over there again. Sooner or Later, Dr. Nishihara will have to learn to treat patient as humans, or he will end up losing his license to practice medicine. Save yourself and (more importantly) your kids from this ex... read more
I miss Dr. Nishihara My daughter was born on May 6Th, 2005. I only had the pleasure of having this man be my daughter's doctor for a few short months, but continue to wish to this date that I would find a doctor as dedicated and efficient as him. My daughter has thrush really bad only a week old, and he immediately got me into see him, and later called me on the weekend to see how she was doing, what doctor anywhere else does that??? I haven't found another like him, and I am very picky about doctors. Most get paid wheather ... read more
