Dr. Nishihara is a bad choice! I only took my child to Dr. Nishihara once when we moved into the area, and that was plenty! He was unhelpful when I asked questions, rude, and spent about 5 seconds with us before moving on to the next patient when my child was very sick. I do not believe he is any better qualified than any other doctors we have used, and the others have had a much better bedside manner. He did not genuinely care at all about our experience with him or the lack of treatment he was giving. I would NOT recommend... read more
Arrogant and Rude I agree with what everyone has said except that he is rude and condescending. I moved to this area from another state with two kids. Because my shots were administered at a different schedule than he does (still well with in the CDC recommendations) I was belittled and left alone in a room without any explanation. I found his staff cold and him just rude. I asked a few questions to try and understand what he was saying about my son being behind on his shots and he told me that I could find another pediatric... read more
I miss Dr. Nishihara My daughter was born on May 6Th, 2005. I only had the pleasure of having this man be my daughter's doctor for a few short months, but continue to wish to this date that I would find a doctor as dedicated and efficient as him. My daughter has thrush really bad only a week old, and he immediately got me into see him, and later called me on the weekend to see how she was doing, what doctor anywhere else does that??? Dr Ryan and his Staff-Great! Dr Ryan and his staff are wonderful. I appreciate the attention he provides to my children. The best office I have experienced. In and Out also which is wonderful when you have multiple children along being a stay at home mom. Kids love Dr Ryan and respect what he tells them.
Amazing at his job! I LOVE LOVE LOVE Dr. Nishihara! He really cares about his patients and my kids LOVE him! They even ask to go to the other ones appointment just so they can see him. He is also great at his job and i feel comfortable with trusting him with my children's health. I recommend him to everyone I know!
Clarification of love hate relationship I was upset over the 5 min late rule too. As a mother of 6 with a newborn, it was impossible to get to my first appointment on time. I think I almost cried when they said I would need to reschedule. My next rescheduled appt happened to be in 40 minutes so I was ok with that. However, I have never seen a cleaner, more germaphobic pediatrician. He also takes illness very seriously and tries very hard to counsel patients on staying healthy. Very Happy with Dr. Nishihara and Staff wow. I have been seeing Dr. Nishihara since my son was board 3.5 years ago and now take my daughter 20 months. I do agree on some level the Dr. Nishihara's style is a little different. We interviewed 5 other Dr.s and found him to be the most knowledgeable. He is direct and I feel it is because he takes what he does seriously. He is caring for children in a very messed up health care world where a majority of the care provided is sub par at best. Best Pediatrician in Las Vegas Dr. Nishihara has been fantastic from day one. Whenever my son is sick, I can call in the morning, and his staff will make an appointment for him the same day. Also, you never have to wait. Once you sign in, a member of his staff will take you in immediately, and you will see Dr. Nishihara usually within 5 minutes.
