Think Twice About This Doctor and Move On I also had trouble with this doctor and have read a lot of the reviews posted. Even people who like Dr. Nishihara admit that he is arrogant, but someone even went so far as to say that he is just "saying it like it is" and that if you can't deal with the truth, you aren't good enough for this doctor. Clarification of love hate relationship I was upset over the 5 min late rule too. As a mother of 6 with a newborn, it was impossible to get to my first appointment on time. I think I almost cried when they said I would need to reschedule. My next rescheduled appt happened to be in 40 minutes so I was ok with that. However, I have never seen a cleaner, more germaphobic pediatrician. He also takes illness very seriously and tries very hard to counsel patients on staying healthy. Great Practice all around!! Don't listen to the last review! I came to meadows when they first opened, I was so upset I was crying. My daughter was very ill and I was using a pediatrician in the same building (very bad experience), Meadows was great they took her right in and have been wonderful ever since. Now at about 3 or 4 years later I have my son under Dr. Nishiharas care (he even came to the hospital on his day off when my son was born) . Dr Ryan and his Staff-Great! Dr Ryan and his staff are wonderful. I appreciate the attention he provides to my children. The best office I have experienced. In and Out also which is wonderful when you have multiple children along being a stay at home mom. Kids love Dr Ryan and respect what he tells them.
Horrific Experience We took our daughter for ADHD evaluation with Dr. Nishihara and there are no words to describe how horribly rude he was to us. He treated us disrespectfully and was very upset when we asked a simple question. He made my 9 year daughter feel so uncomfortable, that she bagged us to never take her over there again. Sooner or Later, Dr. Nishihara will have to learn to treat patient as humans, or he will end up losing his license to practice medicine. Rude staffs, Bad attitude from the doctor We experienced very unpleaseant visit with this office. No welcome from the staffs when walked in to the office. Dr. rescheduled us just because we were late for 15 minutes. No exceptions!. We were driving 45 minutes from the other side of town and took the whole day off. They said the next appointment won't be available till another 3-4 months, and we are welcome to leave. They are busy and they do not need new patients at all. Dr. Nishihara is awful How in the world is Dr. Nishihara allowed to get away with treating patients so badly? I can write 3 pages about our absolutely horrible experience with Dr. Nishihara, but I rather spend that time writing a complaint to the Medical Board. Dr. Nishihara is not only rude and obnoxious, in my opinion he is dangerous as he completely ignores what the parents and the children have to say and once he has his mind set on a diagnostics, he proceeds with disregard to the facts. GREAT DOCTOR!! I would not trust my two little ones with anyone else. Dr. Nishihara is an amazing doctor and is much more available than other pediatricians. He truly loves children and it shows in all of his interactions with them. His office is immaculate. If you have any common sense about raising children or preventing illnesses then all of Dr. Nishihara's advice will make sense to you. Well worth it. By reading the reviews you either love him or hate him. We are in the love him category. He is direct and matter of fact, I am sure some people cant handle this. We met him when we moved here and I was pregnant with my 2nd child. He was amazing from the start in the hospital. He remembers everything, he knows your kids by name, he is very organized and very caring even seeing my daughter for a bad dream that she thought she was dying, he treated her like it was very real.
