This dealer is by far the most deceptive that I've encountered. This is the 9th new car I've purchased and the 5th Honda product. We started with an agreed price from an internet offer, and they hid $695 for accessories and $800 for a key FOB replacement plan into our payments without a clear breakdown on the purchase agreement. This is the most shady and dishonest dealer I have ever worked with. They hide charges in your sales contract and rush you through signing. You have to review it very carefully before signing. I’m still trying to get a $1,000 refund on some hidden charges from a car I bought 5 months ago. I’ve been told by Nelly in the finance department that the refund is on its way, but nothing. Save your time and go someplace else!

I don’t do online reviews, (though I did another one a couple of weeks ago). But I feel like I really need to do this review. I’m in my late 50’s and between my cars and helping my children buy cars, I’ve experienced the process many times. I contact McGrath Honda of St Charles about a used vehicle. We negotiated and out the door price over the phone including a manager agree to the price and holding the vehicle for us as we had a 4 hour drive to get there. When we arrived our salesman was very friendly and professional. We inspected the car and drive it. Vehicle drove great. We were told it was in great shape with no damage. mechanics don't assess and diagnose correctly - they didn't correctly diagnose a failed a/c condenser on a new car with less than 10,000 miles. they tried telling me it was from small rocks. that's impossible because of where the condenser is and there was no rock damage to the front of the car. I paid over 1,000 out of pocket to replace a part that was under warrantee. a few months ago I got a letter from Honda stating there was a massive failure to many years/models of Honda's of the a/c condenser. My wife & I recently purchased a used 2017 Subaru Forester with low mileage (16,000) from McGrath Honda of St. Charles, IL. We saw it on the internet and traveled 180 miles from Springfield to look at it. When meeting with Edward R. the salesman to discuss a price, he gave us a summary of the charges including title fees, license fees, and sales tax.
