Very disappointed with the service department at McGrath Honda of St. Charles. My daughter lost her only car key to her 2010 Honda Fit. Contacted McGrath about a replacement which they agreed to order. They insisted she had to have the car towed to McGrath which cost her $200! She then found her original key and told ***** from the service department. My family and I worked with Aldo and his manager ****** We came in not sure of what to expect and really having to buy a car due to a terrible car accident. We were able to test drive two types of SUVs, and we were met with a lot of patience and respect. This process is stressful as it is but Aldo and ***** were able to help us out. The worst dealer by far. Avoid at all cost. Don't fall for fake deals.I have purchased many cars through my life so far. This dealer is the worst by far. I came in for a good deal and by the time I finished, I found myself $2500 more than what I wanted to be. Addition of accessories and lowing the value of my trade. That is not the worst yet. Negotiated a $1,000 deposit to $500 for a 2022 Honda Civic honored by a manager and when we called to pay very unprofessional & rude business development manager, ******* said he could not take my payment over the phone and had no idea why the person we spoke with told us they would take the payment. Inhuman and unethical place. After the accident i needed the car urgently. But the accident was least of the worries. Buying a car from this place was horrible.The experience was harassing and heart breaking at each level of purchase. Sadly still had to buy a car from them.1. I went to help buy a car for my son. They played the usual used car tactics. They asked what payment I wanted and for the time period. I had him initial it. We waited an hour or so to get in for financing. They gave me a good percentage rate and the payment was ok with my son. They threw in a good coverage warranty that I was told was $11 a month. The finance department scammed me on the *** loan rate. He said the best rate I (with high credit score) get is 3.99%, but I found online later that the average rate is 2-2.5%.He also tried to add an additional $1,000 on the agreed price. When I questioned that, he said it's including the sales tax and interest.
