I had an extremely frustrating experience with the service center at McGrath Honda in St. Charles, and I feel completely deceived by their practices. I took my car in for a routine oil change and basic inspection. Horrible experience at Mcgrath St. Charles and I feel I have no other choice but to take it to BBB. I purchased a new Honda HRV at the end of March 2025, while I was there several things were presented to me as "included" one being an underbody spray which I thought was part of the extended warranty..it is not. I had a terrible experience at McGrath Honda in St. Charles today that felt like discrimination. I brought all the required documents: my finance information, a check from Navy Federal, and proof of car insurance but I was not allowed to purchase the car because I refused to let them run my credit. I have financing in place so why would this be an issue? They claimed it was needed to verify my identity, but I had already provided my license, paperwork, and check. In the market for a new car so I scheduled to test drive a car here and made appointments for the same day at other dealerships. Made it clear that I was only there to test drive and was still deciding on the make and model car I wanted. Test drive was ok, but then still had to fill had to sit through a sales pitch and multiple sales managers. At this point almost three months later the total expereince has been a disaster. I bought from them and I am from out of state. They will not hold a car even for a time. As such we went through the entire purchase process other than sign the dotted line and still they would not hold the vehicle. Zero stars. I have been needing my weather strip fixed since late June/early July now and have brought my vehicle there twice. The first two times they didnt have the correct part, or my spare key. Very bad service experience on 07/07/24. ** who is a service manager made me jump through hoops to use valid coupon for an oil change and damaged my car mirror, but hasn't fixed it because "one of our cameras is broken and we can't verify you didn't hit something pulling into the garage".
