"Smyrna Bakery" was opened in the late 1940's by Howard McEntyre Sr. in downtown Smyrna on Atlanta Road. The business was certainly a family affair as sons Howard Jr., Louis, and Wilson all worked in the bakery as well as Howard Sr.'s wife, Granny. After "Smyrna Bakery" closed in early 1954, Howard McEntyre Jr. opened the current "McEntyre's Bakery" in late 1959 which was also located on Atlanta Road in Smyrna just a few miles from the original store. Your Thanksgiving Combo #1 could not have been more perfect for our feast, and I could not more highly recommend it. We picked it up at the Crossroads kiosk and will most definitely do it again. This time was due to illness and needing help, but next time it will be because your products were so amazing!
The pecan pie and Red Velvet cake are to die for!! This was our first time has we heard of you through you your kiosk location in Dallas and we will be feasting again for Christmas!

Looked high and low for someone to do some specialty cookies for my daughters bday. After placing the order, I received 2 separate calls from the owner with very specific questions...favorite color, certain prints, etc. I picked up the most gorgeous cookies I have ever seen today! Best customer service ever and an excellent product. Made my daughters bday so special! Thanks McEntyres. Wish I could include a pic!
I started going there before they moved from Belmont Hills. After they moved on Concord Road, they expanded so that patrons could sit and enjoy their baked goods and a beverage. They also have delicious soups and sandwiches.
Best chicken salad in town! Wonderful old style bakery
I couldn't think of a better way to start my Birthday off but with a Cinna Fry. YUM!
