Hi, just a heads-up — my Big Mac tonight was more like a “Mac Flat.” Whoever built it stacked the top and middle buns together with nothing in between, then crammed everything onto the bottom. So instead of the classic Big Mac layers, I got a sad burger pancake. Didn’t notice until I got back to my lorry, but honestly… come on, it’s literally the one burger that’s supposed to have a middle layer!

Good fast food
With the restaurant closed for the Premier Inn next door, I popped into this branch of McDonald’s for a takeaway meal. Service was friendly and efficient and a dip that was unavailable was swapped for an equivalent dip by the lady behind the counter. The chicken selects were excellent, as were the big pots of garlic mayo and sweet chilli dip. The Philly cheese burger was a decent effort cheese burger, but did have a traditional Philly cheese taste. The fries were terrible and were limp and stone cold.
