I had a laparoscopic colectomy done and Dr. Makel was absolutely wonderful. He personally met with me before and the days after surgery. And he answered every and any question I had. Very professional but also down to earth in all regards.
I was referred to Dr. Maykel by my gastrointestinal physician following a colonoscopy and I found that Dr. Maykel explained everything about what to expect from a colectomy. He checked in with me everyday to make sure I was making progress in my recovery. Prior to selecting Dr. Maykel for my surgery I looked over his background and had a few doctors tell me that he is the best and they wouldn’t hesitate in having him operate on them or their family members. I have been extremely happy with Dr. Maykel care and treatment.
As always he delivers on his promises. Care and concern for my well being always feel like they are his greatest concerns. I don’t know how many doctors would text you on his weekend off to ask you personally how things are going.
Dr Maykel is a great talent who has excellent knowledge in his field of expertise and beyond. He is a highly proficient surgeon technically with a warm and supportive demeanor. He clearly describes all procedures and answers questions fully. I recommend him wholeheartedly as every interaction and procedure I have had with him as well as follow ups and communications have been first rate. He has a great staff to support him.
Dr. Justin Maykel, preformed my surgery on 2/2/2021. All went very well! I was released from the hospital on 2/4/2021. He visited me in my room shortly after I was settled in and had awaken. He explained everything I asked, explained what I could expect over the recovery period. His surgical team visited me once a day for my 3 day stay. He came in on the 4th checked me out, I went home that afternoon. Dr. Maykel has a great bedside manor and would recommend him very highly. Thank you! Scott
Doctor maykel did colorectal separation from bladder remove part of the colon due to diverticulitis did a fantastic job I get to go back to work Wednesday surgery was done on the 2nd wednesday's 16th I highly recommend him and has a great bedside and personal manor he even call my duaghter after surgery to make her know all went great
I was very impressed with Dr. Maykel’s competence and professionalism. He explained the procedure he was going to perform and followed up afterward with his findings and also called my wife to explain to her as well. I had an excellent result to what apparently was a complicated condition.
I highly recommend Dr. Maykel, and the services he provides, without any reservations! If you are in need of his services, you can be assured of getting the best of care in the Worcester area.
