Lovely hotel, lovely food, lovely atmosphere
We stayed in Matfen Hall as part of our honeymoon and it was perfect. They were kind enough to upgrade us to a beautiful room at the front of the property overlooking the golf course, which felt so special. The food in Cloisters and at breakfast was excellent, and the pool / spa area was lovely and calm. The staff were so friendly and accommodating, nothing felt like too much trouble. A 5* experience all round!
An amazing place, filled with history. Great staff, especially in reception where the concierge offered perfect service and escorted us to our room. His tour of the building was both informative and hilariously funny! An absolute joy!
