Good morning and God Bless MWH. April 9th, my husband suffered a stroke. He was able to receive the drug tPA and discharged 4 days. Two concerns. He should have been on the 4th floor but instead was placed on the 2nd floor due to lack of bedspace. In addition two case workers followed up with us as we have no insurance. I have called every single business day to ascertain the filing of SSD and Medicaid as both caseworkers assured us they would file for us. got here 2.5hrs before my scheduled catheterization and 2.5hrs after the scheduled time i havent even gone through pre-op!!! I've never been to a hospital where i had to bring my own meds in and take them myself. totally unexpected and this was my 1st experience with this hospital.
I just delivered my baby yesterday here at Mary Washington! L & D is absolutely amazing!! The staff is wonderful with me & my baby! I couldn't have asked for a better team in my delivery room!
Their ER absolutely SUCKS. Their gastro department and radiology departments absolutely ROCK! I've had a couple of procedures done by the radiology department in the past month and the nurses and doctors are top notch! They are so professional, work very hard to keep you comfortable and their number one priority is you, your safety and health. I would go anywhere but here in an emergency but for a procedure I'd pick this place in a heartbeat
My husband was there for surgery. He says people in OR were great!! People on 2nd floor were treating us like we were inconveniencing them, they don't seem to understand they are there to aid and assist patients. Trying to get to the front door to pick up patients is a royal night mare!! People were parked on the right side of the drive way, and in the middle of the road!! A person with chest pains and vomiting should not have to wait 6 hours to see a doctor. I have never been to a medical facility with this much of a wait time. And it wasn't just me, the entire ER. And I've never seen the rescue squad personnel wheeling patients into the llobby to wait. The registration clerk dropped a blanket on the floor and handed it to a patient to use. Really? She did say "oopps" though. Now I know why people go elsewhere.
Took my husband in on Fri 2/24/17 for shockwave lithatripsy and all the docors, nurses was alwesome!! They explained everything in details and made sure my husband was comfortable and pain free. Timing was great! The volenteeres wad very helpful. Everyone was kind and polite. We are absolute satisfied with there knowledge and services.
