Took my fiancé in this evening due to a severe allergic reaction to something he ate. We walk in he's having trouble breathing he's so red he looked sunburnt and is trembling terribly. The "EMT"/receptionist was EXTREMELY rude. I'm pretty sure when someone comes in looking like he did and unable to really breathe they are supposed to take them immediately. Your hospital sucks. I have been to hospitals that made me feel like they actually listened to me. Your hospital only made me feel like a person, when I was a child with my parents present. When I go alone, your employees aren't listening. I say I'm in nine out of ten pain, and your employees told me to go buy some advil. I bet y'all feel lucky that your hospital doesn't get egged on EVERY Halloween.
This hospital is the slowest hospital I've ever been too. I was here yesterday losing blood to the point I'm weak and nauseous and waited 3 hrs in the waiting room til I decided to leave finding out people were here waiting for 5 hrs. I came back today with only 2 people in the waiting room and still sitting here waiting 2 hrs so far. This hospital is ridiculous!!! If I wasn't broke and had gas in my car I'd be going to a different hospital. A hospital where people actually care about you.
I only have good things to say about MWH care. The nurses were really good on both the 5th and 4th floors. I don’t understand why there can’t be more American doctors in MWH and Spotsylvania Regional though. Most are very hard to understand.
Pay no attention to their publisher ED wait times. When we arrived the published time was 49 minutes. We are now at 4 hours and still sitting in the waiting room. Husbands pain has been 10 out of 10 and we keep asking to be seen. For him to ask to come to the hospital I know he must be in agony. Highly dissatisfied with this operation. Our first experience with MWH and it will definitely be our last.
I have always, always, always been a big proponent of my home town hospital. I have lived in the area for nearly 40 years. My mother was admitted there many times over the years before she passed, my husband and brother have both been admitted there many times and over the years I've had two surgeries there. I had a wonderful experience with my 3 day hospital stay to have my gallbladder removed! The ER staff, PA’s, Surgeons, Nurses and CNAs on 5 south were all awesome! Thank you Nikki, Jessica, Eva and LALa for all your wonderful care! You can truly see that you care about your patients! Thank you for taking care of me and getting me home quickly to my babies!
