Great Drinks Slow service – Marix has probably one of the best Margarittas in town. The food is pretty good (traditional Tex Mex menu). The last time I was there, I brought along my dog. It's great to be able to bring my pet and sit outside on the patio. The only problem was that the service was so slow. It took me over half an hour just to get my check. KICK ASS MARGARITAS!!! – Can you say KICK ASS MARGARITAS!! Aside from the great surroundings you have these awesome MARGS that will keep you happy for the rest of the night!! Great place to begin your evening!!
Too Much of a Good Thing? – As most have said, the food and atmosphere are good, but the service leaves a lot to be desired. Marix is regularly swamped, with gaggles of good-linking gay, straight and in-between men and women crowding the bar and tiny "patio" as they wait for tables. Great drinks, bad service – Marix has excellent drinks and good food. Service was slow and then the manager ask us to leave our table and get another round of drinks at the bar because we had been sitting down for 80 minutes. Not happy about the service but I would probably go back for drinks.
