I was blown away to see a Marie Curie volunteer in Liverpool city centre with a box where people could choose how much change they would give instead of pressuring people to sign up and give a set amount . I visited the charity shop in Huntscross today with my husband and it really was a lovely interaction with Barbara and Claire were so lovely and kind took the time and had a lovely conversation they truly are a credit to the shop and deserve all the praise. We will definitely come back and visit thankyou
Looks like I’m not the only one who finds the staff rude and unhelpful here. I picked four items over about half an hour, and when I went to try them on the fitting room was full of boxes. The two women behind the counter were chatting constantly and I had to interrupt them to ask if there was a mirror. They signalled to one on the wall, mostly concealed by a rack of clothes and totally useless. Great charity shop that packs in so much and for such an incredibly worthwhile Hospice.
There's always a warm welcome in this charity shop. The staff are lovely, nothing is too much trouble and the shop is well laid out with lots of stock.
