Loraine and Malcolm are gracious and professional and the Inn is beautiful. The location is great for nearby outdoor activities and Shawnee Wine Trail. We greatly enjoyed the outdoor areas and inside common area and our room was lovely.
This week we stepped inside this inn and the euphoria can only be equated to opening a surprise perfect gift that you never expected to be prepared for you. If you ever get the chance, go open the lid on this amazing place.
This was an exceptionally beautiful place to stay. Very quiet and relaxing in the middle of the woods. Malcom and Lorraine our fantastic inn keepers and do everything to make your stay more than pleasant!
Enjoyed every minute of our stay!!!! We stayed in the inn which included breakfast. Very delicious!! Highly recommend adding it if you were to stay on the cottages. Coffee was amazing. Very clean. And the pillow top king size bed, so comfy. We had full bellies, a great night sleep and centrally located to all the fun activities! We will be back!
Celebrated our 33rd Anniversary at the Inn. A small bottle of Champagne was waiting in our room. Loved the breakfast; it was delicious. Malcolm and Loraine were very helpful with restaurant and winery options.
Stayed at the Sienna cottage for our 5th wedding anniversary. Loraine and Malcolm (the inn keepers) left us a card and a bottle of champagne. Nice atmosphere, awesome people, good coffee, and the little touches made all the difference. The handmade soap is awesome! The eco-friendly environment was a nice change from what we are used to. We will definitely return. Thanks again for making our celebration so special.
If you are looking for a peaceful, quiet, unique getaway that is in the best area of our state, this is the place! It has all the convenience and comforts of home, but all you have to do is relax. My husband and I love going to the Makanda Inn when we need a hastle-free getaway. Plus there is all the beautiful hiking and nature you would want. LOVE it...and we'll be returning!
Great place to stay. Breakfast was so delicious and Malcolm and Lorraine made our stay so enjoyable. I really wish them much success and highly recommend staying there. It is a place I recommend beautiful, unique and inspiring. From the location so many adventures to have trails and wineries abound.
