I was dx with reactive hypoglycemia by Dr Oppenheim way back in the 80's!! Now its 2016 and I made a life long mistake of NOT eating the way I was supposed to. I can tell you that if dx with diabetes or any blood sugar disorders- follow what your doctor says about your nutrition and taking care of yourself. I now have nerve damage in my hands,feet and legs. My eye sight is blurry along with my symptoms when I haven't eaten in awhile ect. I'm finally going to eat the way I'm supposed to. Just please don't make my mistake! Tak... read more
Spent almost 10 hrs today in the ASU. Everyone was awesome. So polite and concerned. They all seemed to be enjoying their jobs, which can be hard I'm sure. A big shout out to our Nurse Irene...50 yrs as a Nurse helping others, doing it with a smile on her face and some good banter to take away the nerves! Thank you to all!
From the friendly and helpful volunteers at the front desk, to our Nurse Liddy in pre-op, to Dr Wilson and the surgical staff (and definitely the anesthesiologist who's name I regrettably don't remember! ), the nurses in recovery, and the nurses at the Barbara Bush Children's Hospital, it has been excellent care and concern for my son and our family. No one enjoys having to be in the hospital, but everyone combined to make it as pain free for my son as they could. Many thanks to everyone we have met since Friday. If I could ... read more
