RecommendedThere was no wait for my surgery. Right into the OR. My surgeon was awesome and the nursing staff was attentive and professional.

I was transferred to Maine med with severe preeclampsia that turned into HELLP syndrome. My daughter was a month behind in growth and I was only 32 weeks pregnant on top of that. I developed multiple organ failure and I had to have an emergency C section. The doctors and surgeons managed to save mine and my daughters lives, and treated me so well during my stay. My daughter is still there and is hopefully coming home soon but I am very impressed with the care she has received as well. I will forever be thankful for the entir... read more

8 to 10 hour wait in er,They expected you to sit and not leave your seat.Rude staff.Im sure obama care has played its part in this.Sad o would only go back if i was going to die.
by far the worst hospital I've ever been to I used to swear by maine med but not anymore the staff in the front has horrible customer service the nurses act like they dont care because they just want a pay check and have an attitude the drs just pump you with pills til you almost overdose and start puking blood up they have treated my 9 year old like absolute dog crap I will personally never be going back to maine med I'll take the chance of cutting my own leg off before I ever go back to that place

Recovering now from back surgery at Maine Med. My experience was very well handled from the receptionist to the OR nurses and anesthesiologist, and of course my wonderful surgeon, Matthew Sanborn. It was a very professional team and I felt very comfortable with all of the staff. I would not go anywhere else for my care!!
The drs looked like they just graduated from High school but they know their stuff. My wife had an heart attack and they explain everything to me. The drs and nurses were great and friendly. I highly recommend this place!
