RecommendedAfter 3 emergency surgeries at my local NH hospital in April '09, I was brought to Maine Medical in a last ditch effort to save my life. I stayed there for 4 more surgeries and left to go home in March 2010. Dr. Ciraulo and the trauma team are miracle workers.

RecommendedMy daughter went to the Scarborough center for day surgery. She was so scared. Every single staff member was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Jakovitch was our guardian angel. She was the most wonderfully nurturing and caring individual. She’s absolutely in the right line of work. I can’t thank her enough for comforting my child and trying to put her mind at ease.
RecommendedIn mid February I was sent 2 hours from home to Maine medical center in Portland. I was 34 weeks with my daughter and got diagnosed with preeclampsia. 4 days later I had my daughter via c section, and even though I had met several nurses and doctors(all amazing) my delivery team couldn’t have been more perfect. Kelly, my L&D nurse went above and beyond making me feel comfortable and safe. I don’t know what I would’ve done without her. RecommendedBest hospital ever. The staff is awesome, they might have ok parking, but they work wonders.
Being an employee they treated me like a drug seeker rather than a human being in pain. I fell down the stairs bringing my child to daycare. I love my job and instead of treating me like a person who fell down the stairs they treated me like a drug seeker. I’m so disappointed ☹️ I’m at home right now in pain because they refuse to help me
I went into the Maine Health financial assistance office today in Scarborough Maine with my sister. I became aware that Maine Health has no financial assistance through a sliding scale fee according to low income. My sister and her husband are in their 60's on Social Security and a very tiny pension. They both have cancer and have been inundated with medical bills. RecommendedNurses and CNA care was excellent on the SCU and on Gibson. Very happy with that. Cleanliness of the total building needs to be worked on. Trash bins overflowing, floors are dirty, basic room care was very minimal. For as often as we were asked to wash our hands, I’d think that the physical environment would be cleaned more thoroughly.
