Recommendedif you need specialized surgeons, DEFINITELY go there, if you need routine ER stuff go to Mercy on State Street. Compassionate nursing care and privacy including private rooms is non existent at ME MED, but the Dr.s are great. I'm sure the Drs at Mercy are just as good but for a serious medical situation you should be at ME Med.

They sell all kinds of suff, baby stuff- bibs,clothing,bottles and so on, they sell flowers and basically all the things you could use to help a Friend feel better, or welcome a new born into the world, it's also a place you go to and buy something to say one last good bye. RecommendedI'm Sept. 2017, Dr. Douglas Howell and Dr. Derek Middleider literally saved my life. I had a horrible G.I. bleed from a surgery mine days before. Can't say enough good about those two doctors and the staff at MMC that helped me survive a horrific ordeal.
RecommendedIncredible care, when another hospital said there was nothing more to be done for my mother they refused to give up, over a year later and here we are. They are truly the best.
