The lunch was excellent, but the dining room was cold when we sat down to eat at 1pm. We were next to a radiator, but it was cold. We told the waiter, but his response was that ‘it will get warmer’. It should have been warm when we sat down.

Maybe we didn’t book the right room, but thought it felt tired. Didn’t really work for us as a family, pool restaurant shut and it was suggested that our kids eat outside on the terrace whilst it was 11 degrees. Gidleigh Park better for adults and Bovey Castle better for families, just my view. Pretty spot overlooking the estuary however.

We had very much look forward to attending one of Lympstone Manors 10 year Celebratory luncheons & everyone on the team made the occasion very special for us. There was a real buzz about the fully booked restaurant but the waiters still ensured excellent standards of service with all our four courses being served quickly & professionally. It was lovely to be back at the manor for lunch. Very relaxing and we didn’t feel rushed. Would return again but normal prices are too high. Sh?
