I had several bad experiences with Lowe's Flooring Department Athens Lowe's in Georgetown. I attempted to buy flooring and matching quarter round trim and have it installed by a company called United Installs contracted by Lowe's. Lowe's sent a person out to measure the floor and they ordered the flooring and trim. Lowe's sent plain unfinished quarter round instead of the matching quarteround. Disorganized and not in control (or able to take responsibility) for their delivery and installation services. We had a simple washer and dryer install which was botched repeatedly and extended over the course of 2 weekends until we decided to return our washer and dryer and go to ********** instead.

I had 16 replacement windows installed in September 2017. The were not installed correctly. The exterior of the windows were not sealed, the interior of the windows were not insulated, the windows were not shimmed or squared. As of June 2018, Lowe's has still not fixed the problems but insists I first pay in full for a job Lowe's has not completed.

I would like to tell you about my lowes.com and Lowe's in store pick-up experience. Also, we will include the phone support as part of the overall Lowe's experience. On 5/28 I ordered several items, so I can put in an additional outlet in, this included wire, caps, a standard outlet, a mounting box, and a face plate. I chose Lowe's because I was able to get a gift certificate from my corporate rewards, and this was a easy way save some money. I am not normally a Lowe's customer. Lowes has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I ordered appliances from lowes (physical store) to be delivered to my new residence. They give me a delivery date with a time frame of 3pm-5pm. At 5:30 pm I call and they tell me they weren't able to deliver today (no call, no email to let me know). They tell me delivery will be the following day from 5pm-7pm. They arrive 7:40 pm. The next day when I open the dishwasher it is banged up on one side- It looked like the delivery men threw down the boxes without care... read more

I was given a time that our refrigerator delivery would take place. I was finally contacted way after the scheduled time with the people letting me know they were running late and they could deliver the next day. I declined this as I had taken off work specifically for this delivery. The men told me they could not hook up the ice maker due to the water line not reaching so I would have to have a plumber come out. I don't usually leave bad reviews, HOWEVER, this is the 4th time I have had an issue with this company. On a previous occasion we ordered a fireplace from the store for a thanksgiving party we were throwing, was told it would arrive in store in 3 days & we would be called. After a week we called, they said there was a mix up on the truck. Called back the following week, it didn't arrive yet. 3 weeks ago Lowe's delivered a fridgeadaire refrigerator to my home. It arrived scratched and they scratched the hardwood on my entry landing floor with the dolly. We settled the damage on the fridge with a 10% discount which I thought was fair. The damaged floor is a $1000 plus refinish or replacement. They offered $200 or I have to deal with their insurance company. What a hassle for a busy person. I will NEVER spend another dollar at Lowe's again and I will encourage family and friends to do the same. Last fall (2017) we had 8 replacement windows installed. Sales and installation was good but there was a defect in the frame and sash of every window. Streaks in the vinyl looked like the color wasn't mixed thoroughly. A rep from the manufacturing company came and inspected the windows. When I didn't hear anything after 3 months, a text was sent to him. Over 2 months later and still nothing.
