We had a great experience on this past Sunday. The food was all absolutely delicious, best roast we've both had in years. Definitely recommend upgrading to all 3 meats on your roast as they were all tasty. The staff are all super pleasant, polite and friendly. Us and our dog were really well looked after and given a lovely little table by the fire. It was clearly a busy day but the staff all coped well and still served us so nicely and attentively. Thank you to all!! :)
Had a great overnight stay at this lovely hotel. Room was great (spot on for the dog too!). The evening meal was excellent. The Crypt Bar is cool (with two hand-pulled real ales on). The only slight issue was at breakfast. It took quite some time to get our order taken. This was probably due to it being very busy in the upstairs dining room, when we were seated in the (dog friendly) ground floor restaurant. We went to The Lord Crewe Arms for Sunday Lunch as my Birthday treat. The food was fernominal. One of the best roasts I have ever tasted. The building is a historical Warren, absolutely beautiful. The drinks were the issue, the poor young man behind the bar was working alone, serving drinks to be taken to the tables and for people in the bar, he was friendly and kept his cool under such pressure . 'The Crewe' was a fantastic place to stay: the welcoming staff, well-appointed rooms and excellent food made for a thoroughly enjoyable break. The dining room, bar and public areas are steeped in history but stylishly furnished and comfortable. The bedrooms mix country style and decadent furnishing and in our 'Champion' level room the complimentary welcome tray, toiletries and other touches all added to the outstanding hospitality.
