Located along the Lockport section of the Erie Canal, this amazing underground boat ride is unique. Using a custom-built flat-bottom boat, visitors go on a half-mile trip through a man-made hydraulic raceway cut out of solid rock, the work of 19th-century genius Birdsill Holly— the man who gave the world the fire hydrant and zoned steam heat. Accompanied by a guide and trained operators, the 1 1/4-hour ride is thrilling and perfectly safe.

First off there was no boat ride as advertised and the tickets we received said 80 min tour and it was more like a 45 min tour the guide never stopped to wait for our group seemed rushed and the people in the back never heard anything he was saying or telling anyone very sad
RecommendedMy husband I took the walking tour with Jason this past Sunday.It was our first time to the Caves.It was nothing short of awesome!! Jason was friendly,knowledgable, and funny. I highly recommend the tour.
Such a fun place with lots of local history. Been twice and will be back for another trip.
If you visit, I suggest you bring snacks

A little bit of history, a little bit of mystery. This is a fantastic family friendly tour. We learned a lot and had fun. Our tour guide (Cameron? ) was very knowledgeable and charismatic. Highly recommend

We took the tour Friday night, Zack was our guide. He was wonderful very engaging and knowledgeable. we'll definitely go again.
So glad we went to this place while visiting Niagara Falls. Easy to get there and so worth the trip. We had a wonderful guided tour, by Paige, of this attraction. Well done and very informative on the old locks and the new locks at Lockport on the Erie Canal. The history of the area was quite interesting. The cave tour and boat ride was a great bonus. You won’t want to miss this place!
