Located along the Lockport section of the Erie Canal, this amazing underground boat ride is unique. Using a custom-built flat-bottom boat, visitors go on a half-mile trip through a man-made hydraulic raceway cut out of solid rock, the work of 19th-century genius Birdsill Holly— the man who gave the world the fire hydrant and zoned steam heat. Accompanied by a guide and trained operators, the 1 1/4-hour ride is thrilling and perfectly safe.

Adam was our tour guide and he did a wonderful job of explaining the history of Lockport, the locks and the cave. We loved the tour!
While we did have to wait a half hour past our scheduled tour time, our tour guide Paige was very awesome and bubbly. I would definitely take the tour again. She was very knowledgeable and engaging, definitely kept me interested! Five stars to her — with Jessie Kristin.
Adam Adam he is amazing. Best tour guide full of energy, funny and and a natural entertainer. Some things that will make you LOL "Don't rock the boat" seriously 😂😂 From time to time you will get a few drops of water from the cave " Accept your blessings" You will understand when you go on the tour. Adam thank you 👍🏿
