Attended 80's Calling event at Colchester Castle Park. Great music, simply terrible organisation though. Queues and hour long for food and drink. Clearly not enough staff. They blamed payment machines but that's just a poor excuse and simply not good enough. Once you got to the front of the queue, you then had the pleasure of over priced warm terrible beer. This is the worst event I've seen organised ever at Colchester Castle Park. Poor security, horrendous queues for bar. Obstructions caused by sweet and prosecco bars. Generally poor organisation and signage. My advice is to give events organised by this outfit a miss. Photo shows the screen view. Sound quality for Level 42 was poor.
Farce from the moment we booked tickets! Colchester 80s in the park, so the crowd is predominantly 50+, not allowed to bring seats! They changed that after many complaints. 1hr queue for the bar. Queue for tokens, then queue to get to the bar, only to find people paying at the bar, so why do we need to queue for tokens? And the prices! Drinks for 5 of us £75 and 1 was on 7up! Wondering why the company is such jerks, they were in a lawsuit years ago and filed bankruptcy on old company and moved to the next one because they were about to lose. Don't support Liz Hobbs
