Great service and well deserved review. I noticed as we passed the shop that they did same day repairs so ventured in. After a recent purchase of a new locket I couldn’t part with the old one for sentimental reasons and thought I would try to it have fixed up as a spare. It was dented and very dull. Had a wonderful experience at this lovely little jewellers. Joe was lovely and so patient while my indecisive mother and I chose a ring. Joe took out half the shop for us to try on and told us as much as he could about the design and history of each piece. We came back the next day to purchase the ring we chose and have it resized. It was resized and refurbished within hours, and came out beautifully. Thank you Joe and Shambles Jewellers!
After care is a shambles! We bought my engagement ring from here and after a year of wearing it a prong broke. I took it to a local jewellers who said the ring was faulty (porous) and we should go back to the place we got it from. We got it repaired by Little Shambles, which we had to pay for, and it came back looking a mess. Tom, the owner, was rude, unsympathetic and we found it hard to trust Little Shambles to do any further work on the ring. We brought an engagement ring during 2024 and since returned for our wedding rings. Which were made to our specifications and all in a few days. Great service as always and always friendly and welcoming when we visit. Always our go to jewelers when in York. Thank you Su & Ed
