Reporting the insured's passing was a simple process, as was submitting the paperwork necessary to complete the assignment. Payment was received in a matter of days. I am a funeral director, and I file insurance claims all the time. Every time I called Lincoln Heritage, they answered the phone - and my questions - in a timely manner. It was very easy to file the claim, and I was impressed with how quickly we were paid. There are some insurance companies that I dread dealing with. I contacted Lincoln Heritage (LH) a couple of days after my wife passed away. My wife and I were told by the agent that sold us the policy that all we needed to do was to contact LH by the number he gave us and that a check would be sent out immediately. When I called I found out that the agent lied to us or he intentionally miss led us as to the process because i specifically asked him that question before we agreed to the policy.
