First time eating here since it re-opened. Food was good selection of local cuisine cooked excellently, while the staff ensured we are taken care of. Lewtrenchard Manor continues to be one of the best kept secrets in Devon, and has lots none of its old charms.
A stunning historic location with tasteful and high-quality renovations. A real luxury experience with gorgeous bedding and a particularly impressive bath tub! We had a generous breakfast and a very fine tasting menu in the restaurant. A treat to have the Chef pop out to talk to us at the end. We were here on opening night and there are some parts of the renovation yet to be finished, but looking forward to visiting again when it’s complete. It really feels like no expense has been spared.
Lovely setting , beautiful Jacobean Manor House & hotel . We had coffee which was fairly average. The building is fascinating & lovely gardens . Needs a lot of work as the house is deteriorating in parts . New owners I understand will be taking over the lease. Lovely artefacts & art in the public areas . Peaceful location
