My husband, daughter, son-in-law, and I had a wonderful time in the cottage, which I consider to be the most attractive in this holiday complex. The second floor of the large cottage is stone and traditional on the outside, yet completely modern, cozy, warm, and homey on the inside. Excellant little get away this. Very peaceful village. Pub next door as well. Very secluded place. Peace and quiet. Apartment was clean and tidy. Well appointed. Easy parking next to the apartment. Use of on site pool and hot tub. Pool is not massive but perfect for a couple. The main road leads upto Egton or Goathland. Right across the top of the moors. Pickering is close by. Around £12 for a taxi ride. Would recommend and would use again.
Lovely cottage with everything you needed for self catering. Had the best nights sleep lovely comfy beds. Leisure facilities were lovely and good fun for the teenagers with the pool table and table tennis. Lovely area with Pickering only a few mins drive. Definitely recommend for families and friends as plenty of space in the cottage. Had a problem with the heating and it was sorted straightaway by the host. Will definitely return.
We stayed several times this year, in the owl and the granary and found them both very comfortable, the bed the pillows, I slept well, the kitchen had everything you needed to cook with having a welcome pack was a nice touch, having use of the pool and hot tub area was a bonus, using this after walks and we had a chill in there before leaving to go home, it felt like you had a break, the local pub was great serving food and locals were very friendly and welcomed you into their village, this made it more a home from home kind... read more
