AVOID! We booked the cottage for one night to find it had hair and detritus left all over the room and bathroom including torn up toilet paper and plastic gems. Had NOT been cleaned. All very bizarre. Got moved to room 5 and it was a little better but it still had soap stains in the shower and toothpaste flecks above the sink and the tea spoons were left dirty with fresh tea stains. A very tired looking hotel with a mishmash of furnishings and decor where nothing seemed to match. The restaurant had no character and very bland. The reception and flooring needs a great deal of TLC as thats the first impression. The receptionist, albeit polite, appeared disinterested and tired. The bar on the otherhand was full of charm with a lovely real fire welcoming you in. The bar/dining waitress was lovely and friendly and very professional. The food was amazing.
