Excellent location, friendly staff, wonderful facilities, service normally good. Food disappointing and expensive compared to similar locations. Veg burger and chips - gourmet prices but takeaway van presentation, dry and hard burger that was lost in the bread roll, no garnish at all. Well over priced at £17. Did mention disappointment to staff member that brought the food and cleared tables but she said she was just the cleaner and not her area of communication.
This is a lovely, old school, quintessentially West Country Hotel. The location is ideal for exploring both Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. Beautiful views from this hotel of the beach. Also, the beds were very cosy and our room had air con, which was very appreciated. We didn't eat at the hotel during our stay but the food others ate looked of decent quality. The swimming pools at the hotel were great. All in all an enjoyable stay, we would stay here again and for longer next time. Thank you.
