We came for Sunday dinner so cannot comment on the rooms but the dinner and pudding was delicious, lovely home cooked meal in a cosy setting. The staff were extremely accommodating after we abandoned our walk due to the weather and arrived over an hour earlier to our booking. I would highly recommend the Langdon Beck!
Sunday lunch, a carvery, absolutely superb, as good as they get. Lovely friendly staff at a great price. The hotel is relatively remote, but plenty of clients, with a great relaxing atmosphere. Thank you so much.
We had a lovely 2 night stay. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Food was good, the rooms were comfortable and the bathroom was spotlessly clean.
Had a meal here after a mid-week walk at Cow Green reservoir. We last ate at the Langdon Beck over 10 years ago and it's still superb. We both had the steak pie - good portions, great pastry, real chunks of steak, proper gravy - just as it should be. Only stay here if you want: good home cooking, friendly staff, room with a view (room 3), value for money, a peaceful stay, and lots of local walks. Oh, and they have some good beer, and tasty cakes !
